A devastating 10-1 defeat saw World No. 12 Malaysia utterly outclassed by World No. 5 Germany in a test match at the Glabach Hockey and Tennis Club in Germany on Sunday. This marks Malaysia’s worst defeat in recent years.

Malaysia’s only response came from Fitri Saari, who scored a penalty corner goal in the 47th minute. Malaysia may only be competitive against European B teams, as evidenced by their recent matches against Belgium B, where they won twice 3-2 and lost once 4-2 in three friendly encounters.
