SEPANG, March 6 — A group of Malaysians stranded in Dubai since February 28 due to the Middle East conflict arrived safely in Kuala Lumpur last night aboard Emirates flight EK342. The aircraft landed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 at 9:40pm, marking the first successful return of Malaysians affected by regional airspace closures.

The shutdown followed attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran and Tehran’s retaliatory strikes across the region, disrupting global flights. The Foreign Ministry, or Wisma Putra, said it is coordinating with Malaysian diplomatic missions, regional governments and airlines to evacuate affected citizens and urged Malaysians abroad to register through the e-Konsular system.
