Man Arrested
Despite negotiations, the man initially refused to release his mother, even threatening to jump from the 11th floor. Police chief Lee Swee Sake eventually persuaded him to surrender. The man, unemployed and with a history of criminal offenses, tested positive for methamphetamine. He faces charges under the Penal Code and remains in custody pending further investigation.
