A 46-year-old labourer pleaded not guilty in the Seremban Sessions Court to molesting his 15-year-old foster sister inside a car parked along a main road in Jempol. The alleged offence took place on 17 November at about 2.30pm. He was charged under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, which carries up to 20 years’ jail and whipping upon conviction.

During his bail application, the accused told the court he recently divorced, cares for two children and is burdened by debts. He also claimed to suffer from psychiatric issues, saying he experiences hallucinations and hears voices, with an appointment scheduled next month. The court set a new date for counsel appointment and considered a RM30,000 bail request.
