KUALA LUMPUR — Jelutong MP RSN Rayer has raised concerns over what he described as inconsistent actions by Attorney-General Dusuki Mokhtar in handling fatal road accidents involving drivers under the influence.
Murder Charge
He cited the case of R Saktygaanapathy, charged with murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code after allegedly driving under the influence of benzodiazepines and THC, causing the death of motorcyclist Amirul Hafiz Omar in Klang on March 29. Rayer expressed sympathy to Amirul’s family, noting the victim was on his way to buy books for his children. Dusuki defended the murder charge as justified. Photo: Social Media
