A tiger suspected of mauling two victims to death in Gerik and Jeli has been captured by the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan). Perak Perhilitan director Yusoff Shariff confirmed the capture of the man-eater near Jeli, following the installation of a trap. The tiger was believed to be responsible for killing Adnan Ismail, 54, on Oct 15, and a Myanmar man on Oct 17 in separate incidents along Jalan Raya Timur Barat. Photos and videos of the critically endangered tiger’s capture have since gone viral on social media, sparking public interest in its fate.
