A viral video on X shows a White man during what appears to be the Songkran festival being beaten up by the locals. Apparently, a Thai woman, who is also an owner of a bar in that particular district was allegedly sexually harassed by said man.

It appears the situation escalated. The man is urged to report himself to the local authorities in order to give his side of the story. However, this is not the first time where a westerner caused trouble in Thailand or any other Southeast Asian country for that matter despite what the right wing in Europe and America are saying.
Netizens add that westerners coming to Southeast Asia generally think they can get away with anything. Some accuse these individuals of having the “coloniser” mindset.
