Man Says Kuala Lumpur is Walkable if You Believe in God

The story of Kuala Lumpur being unwalkable and carcentric has been a thoroughly discussed topic among social media users. However, now it seems to be a permanent fixture of the city, as car-centricism is prioritised. 

Kuala Lumpur is Walkable, Somewhat 

A Threads user went viral after posting photos of his experience walking. Others say that it’s not that common to see pedestrians in the city. Some claim that if you’re walking by the side of the road, it could mean that you’re crazy, or are running away from an abusive household. 

Making the city and the suburbs walkable may help reduce the overweight epidemic the country is facing as it encourages walking. But, as long as things aren’t changing, going to your favourite 7-Eleven will still be a quick 2 minute car-ride away, that is if you’re able to find parking.
