MCA Not a 'Pak Turut' Now And Defends Right to Criticise for Public Interest

JOHOR BAHRU, June 1 – MCA reaffirms its support for the Unity Government, aligning with Sultan Ibrahim’s decree, but vows not to stay silent on injustices or policies harming the public. MCA Youth chief Ling Tian Soon defended president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong’s criticisms, particularly on the LPG subsidy removal, as fact-based and aimed at protecting citizens. Responding to DAP’s Syahredzan Johan’s call for MCA’s exit from the coalition, Ling emphasized that differing views are democratic and MCA will continue advocating for fair policies. He asserted MCA’s role within Barisan Nasional, rejecting pressures to conform blindly.
