KUALA LUMPUR: MCA Youth has raised concerns after receiving complaints that even students with a perfect 4.0 CGPA failed to secure places in public universities, despite the Higher Education Ministry offering 78,883 spots. MCA Youth’s Ong Chee Siang urged transparency on admission channels and allocations for STPM leavers. However, Umno Youth dismissed claims as baseless and misleading, urging official data submission instead of speculation. They stress that the ministry has opened an appeal and feedback channel from Sept 8 to 14 to address grievances. — Sept 9 2025
