The debate on whether to boycott McDonalds and Starbucks is still an ongoing discussion, despite it being almost a year since the movement started. It appears that on the outskirts of Selangor and the Putrajaya area, these chain establishments are either moving or closing down.

However, X users feel that the branch could’ve moved to another location as the place used to be packed with customers. But, if the local residents are avoiding the chain restaurant, there could be a possibility that it has to shut its doors.
Others state that there will be “more” to come. But, the ones in Kuala Lumpur may continue on to thrive as they’re still packed to the brim.
