The Melaka Health Department is taking steps to reduce the workload of medical staff at Melaka Hospital amid growing healthcare demands. According to State Health Committee chairman

Melaka Hospital Boosts Staffing to Tackle Rising Workload

Datuk Ngwe Hee Sem, the department has requested more personnel from the Health Ministry and is actively hiring contract medical officers. To ease pressure during peak hours, additional locum shifts have been added to emergency services after hours and on weekends.

Despite recent resignations, most specialist and medical officer positions remain filled. With 20 clinical and 30 sub-clinical specialities, the hospital also receives expert support from top hospitals across Malaysia.
