The incident, which occurred in a classroom on 2 October and was recorded on a mobile phone, came to light after the victim’s mother was alerted by a teacher.
Following a review of investigation papers by the Royal Malaysia Police, the Attorney General’s Chambers confirmed sufficient evidence to proceed with charges under Sections 375B and 377B of the Penal Code, and Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.
Two of the suspects face six charges. The AGC reaffirmed its commitment to prosecuting sexual crimes involving minors. The case underscores urgent concerns about school safety, digital ethics, and the protection of child victims within Malaysia’s legal system.
