Met Malaysia has issued a Continuous Rain Warning (WASPADA) for the state of Sabah for the 8-9 March and Strong Winds and Rough Seas Warning (First and Second Categories) | for shipping areas in the South China Sea effective March 8-11, 2022.
At the same time, rain and thunderstorms are expected to occur in the west of the Peninsula, north and inland of Sarawak in the afternoon to early evening of the 8 and 9 March, it says.
Sabah
Based on MET model analysis Malaysia Weather Research and Forecasting Model a weather system of low pressure has formed in the southeastern Philippines and is expected to move west towards Sabah, creating an increase in humidity and has the potential to bring continuous rain in Sabah during March 8-9.
