The Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) will hold its annual general meeting (AGM) on November 16 without inviting any external guests, including Barisan Nasional (BN) chairperson Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Party president Tan Sri S.A. Vigneswaran said the one-day event would focus solely on internal matters, with only delegates and representatives attending. He noted that MCA had previously adopted a similar approach. Asked if MIC would remain in BN, Vigneswaran said the decision would be made at the AGM, adding that the party must secure seats to contest in future elections.
