A 52-year-old mother of three was found dead in a pool of blood in her rented room in Taman Seri Pokok Mangga, Melaka, allegedly killed by a jealous acquaintance. Police discovered the victim alongside a 54-year-old injured man, believed to have attempted suicide and the man was arrested. A witness reported hearing an argument earlier but only discovered the body the next day. Authorities seized a sharp weapon suspected to be the murder weapon. The suspect has been remanded for seven days under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder, which carries the death penalty if convicted. Investigations are ongoing.
