Educational matters dominated discussions in the Dewan Rakyat today as MPs debated the 2025 Supply Bill. Key issues included equal access to education at school and university levels, education funding, and comprehensive allocations for the sector.

Lawmakers Advocate Equal Education Opportunities for Everyone

Syahredzan Johan (PH-Bangi) called for special funding for disability education centres and more special needs classes in schools. He also proposed a RM100 million fund to support Indian students from low-income families.

Datuk Willie Anak Mongin (GPS-Puncak Borneo) stressed the need for fair MARA sponsorship for all Bumiputera students. Other MPs echoed the need for equitable access to quality education for all.
