Media personality Ms Puiyi has taken legal action against her former business partner, Lai Kai Jian, accusing him of cheating her out of RM4.3 million. In a statement on Instagram, she alleged that Lai deceived her by promising to resolve her tax issues but absconded with the money instead.

Lai, who was also a board member of Ms Puiyi’s company, is accused of misappropriating funds since June 2022. She expressed her disappointment, stating, “I trusted him as a business partner, but due to his actions, I have suffered losses.” Investigations are ongoing following her police report last year.
