KUALA LUMPUR: Muhyiddin Yassin has alleged that former Bersatu deputy president Hamzah Zainudin planned a political realignment aimed at securing the deputy prime minister’s post through cooperation with other parties. The Bersatu president confirmed that Hamzah had met UMNO president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, a meeting linked to the so-called “Bangkok Move”.

Muhyiddin described the alleged backdoor plan as a serious matter and among the reasons disciplinary action was taken against the Larut MP by the party’s disciplinary board.
