Kuala Lumpur: An Umno leader, Mohamad Hasan, says PM Muhyiddin Yassin’s refusal to resign immediately presents huge legal risks for Malaysia. He says the rule of Muhyiddin after losing power and not resigning means all executive decisions taken now can be challenged for their validity and constitutionality.
“This puts the government in a vulnerable position to various legal disputes and the risk of financial loss,” he said in a statement last night.
Yesterday, Muhyiddin in a speech broadcast live nationwide stressed that he would not resign even if the validity of the support he received was questioned.
