Former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak must file a new application with the Pardons Board, chaired by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, to seek house arrest for the remainder of his sentence. Under Article 42(1) of the Federal Constitution, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong has the authority to grant pardons, reprieves, or postponements for offenses in Federal Territories.
