Kuala Lumpur police have maintained round‑the‑clock security at the residence of former prime minister Najib Razak in Jalan Langgak Duta.
City police chief Comm Datuk Fadil Marsus said the detail was deployed immediately after notification was received and will remain until further instructions are issued.
Police Maintain 24‑Hour Security at Najib’s Home
The security team involves personnel from the Sentul district police headquarters and the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters. Fadil spoke to reporters after attending the handover ceremony for the Kuala Lumpur Special Branch chief and Dang Wangi OCPD.
He announced the appointment of SAC Shaidatul Akmar Mohd Noor as the new Special Branch chief, ensuring continuity in leadership, and ACP Ahmad Azwan Amin Nordin as the new Dang Wangi OCPD. Fadil emphasized the Special Branch’s role in safeguarding the capital amid a dynamic security environment.
He also extended condolences on the passing of Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohamad Ali, who died at the National Heart Institute earlier Monday.
