Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s legal team has again requested that he be granted a discharge not amounting to an acquittal (DNAA) over three charges of money laundering involving RM27 million linked to SRC International.

His lawyer, Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah, argued that the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) has yet to respond to their representation submitted in July 2023. The prosecution requested one more month to decide. High Court Judge K. Muniandy fixed June 11 for updates.
Najib, already serving a reduced six-year prison sentence over a separate SRC case, faces these charges under Section 4(1)(a) of the Anti-Money Laundering Act.
