SEREMBAN, April 6 — The Negeri Sembilan government is cracking down on illegal dumping near gas pipelines following a dangerous open burning incident in Bukit Sendayan two days ago. J Arul Kumar, Local Government Development, Housing and Transport Action Committee chairman, announced stricter enforcement after waste was burned just 50 meters from a pipeline. He urged the public to report illegal dumping to authorities, emphasizing cooperation with gas companies and local bodies. SWCorp has been tasked with immediate cleanup, while local authorities will increase patrols. Arul also requested fencing along the pipeline, which spans residential and industrial areas in Seremban and Port Dickson.
