With five weeks before the Hari Raya Aidil Fitri balik kampung rush, motorists are reminded that upgraded Awas cameras will monitor speedsters and reckless drivers. Universiti Putra Malaysia’s Dr. Law Teik Hua advised motorists to drive safely or face fines.

The upgraded Awas system measures average speed over a distance between two points. Announced by Transport Minister Anthony Loke, the system aims to enhance road safety and deter dangerous driving.
