No permission means no rally allowed, Putrajaya police chief warns

KUALA LUMPUR – Police have prohibited a planned rally at the Palace of Justice in Putrajaya tomorrow, citing a lack of approval under the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012. The rally, organized by PAS and groups Ummah and Perkasa, aims to show support for ex-prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak during his appeal hearing.

No permission

Putrajaya police chief ACP Aidi Sham Mohamed warned participants of legal consequences and announced roadblocks at entry points to screen for weapons and offensive materials. While Umno has canceled its rally plans following a royal decree, other organizers remain defiant, prompting heightened security measures.
