A 29‑year‑old nurse, known only as Nini, claims she is living in fear after repeated threats from her ex‑boyfriend.
The 27‑year‑old man allegedly threatened to kill her and spread intimate videos if she refused to continue their relationship.
Nurse Nini’s Ex‑Boyfriend Accused of Blackmail and Gang Links
Nini said the relationship lasted five months before she ended it upon discovering his drug abuse and unemployment.
Following the breakup, he claimed to be part of a gang and warned he would bring members to harass her. Matters worsened when his family intervened, with his mother allegedly threatening to release intimate photos and videos to Nini’s parents.
The material was later shared on social media, leaving Nini traumatized. She reported the threats to police on July 9 but withdrew the complaint after her ex deleted the files in front of officers.
However, the intimidation resumed, with demands that she return to the relationship or face further exposure. On July 19, she filed another police report after the content was allegedly sent to her relatives.
Team TLK representative Lim Thow Siang urged police to conduct a thorough investigation. He stressed that if sufficient evidence is found, the case should proceed to court for prosecution.
