Pahang Menteri Besar Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail filed an affidavit supporting Najib Razak’s request for house arrest, citing a royal decree.
Pahang MB supports Najib’s house arrest request
Filed last week in the Kuala Lumpur High Court, the affidavit mentions that International Trade Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz informed him on January 30 about a decree reducing Najib’s prison term by 50% and his fine to RM50 million, allowing house arrest. Wan Rosdy admitted he does not have a copy of the decree due to confidentiality.
The affidavit names seven respondents, including the federal government and the Home Minister. The Attorney General’s Chambers opposed including this affidavit in the judicial review, calling it late.
