Parents Now Push for Cashless Payments in Schools

Recently, a mother shared her views on Facebook, emphasizing the need for the Ministry of Education (KPM) to consider transitioning to cashless payment systems to address various issues faced by students and parents.

Parents push for cashless payments in schools 

Among the problems encountered are children often misplacing their pocket money due to their active behavior in class. Other issues include theft at school, and overspending on unhealthy food. Nowadays, most parents prefer using cashless systems, and school canteens should follow this trend.

Several suggestions that school canteens can implement include a credit system using student cards similar to Touch ‘n Go, online payment systems, and monthly payments for canteen menus. By doing so, we can reduce the problem of lost money and ensure that children receive sufficient meals at school.
