PAS may face complications in contesting the Indera Mahkota parliamentary seat in the next general election following the entry of Parti Wawasan Negara into Perikatan Nasional. PAS Youth Pahang had earlier proposed Andansura Rabu, the Beserah assemblyman, as candidate, but Wawasan’s presence—led by Saifuddin Abdullah, the incumbent MP—complicates matters.

Saifuddin, formerly of PKR and Bersatu, is expected to defend the seat under Wawasan. Bersatu and other figures, including Ahmad Farhan Fauzi, have also expressed interest. PAS leaders stress that final decisions rest with the party’s top leadership, with hopes any outcome will strengthen PN’s position in Johor and nationally.
