After the fiasco that took place at KL Convention Centre during the 100 Hari Keluarga Malaysia event, the police has extended the discount period for traffic summons to Dec 31, 2021.
The event at KLCC drew a large crowd, putting netizens up in arms and criticising the authorities for the short time frame given to pay the summons coupled with a lack of counters.
Bernama says this prompted Inspector -General of Police, Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani, to extend the discount dateline and added that it would give the public an opportunity to clear their summons.
