Malaysia’s Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah delivered a thrilling performance to reach the Kumamoto Masters final after ousting Japan’s fifth-ranked Yuki Fukushima-Mayu Matsumoto in straight games.
Japanese Pair OUT
The world No. 2 pair mounted a stunning comeback from 17–20 down to take the opening game 24–22, before sealing the semi-final 23–21 in 57 intense minutes. It marked sweet revenge for their early exit to the same pair last year and their seventh final of the season. They face Japan’s Rin Iwanaga-Kie Nakashini next.
