Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and the top three PH leaders Anwar Ibrahim, Mohammad Abu and Lim Guan Eng reached a consensus to strengthen the function of Parliament as a check and balance on the executive.
A rare joint statement signed by Ismail and the three leaders says they agreed on and understood the importance of the independence of the judiciary, institutional reforms and good governance.
The four leaders says the meeting focused on reaching a common ground over the management of Covid-19 and improving the economy.
