DAP’s proposal to impose a term limit for the prime minister, a reform promised by Pakatan Harapan, has sparked a racially charged response from PAS Youth chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden. He framed it as an attempt by the “minority” to dictate the “majority” and alter the Federal Constitution.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim supports the reform and suggested it could be tabled in Parliament if a two-thirds majority is secured. Afnan also miscalculated the government’s MP count, claiming they had 147 MPs when they actually have 153 after six independent MPs shifted allegiance to the government last year.
