PAS Youth has proposed Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, recently appointed as Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman, to be the coalition’s “poster boy” ahead of the 16th General Election (GE16).

PN Eyeing Samsuri for GE16
Its chief, Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden, said the idea is justified since PAS nominated Samsuri and PN leadership accepted him. He believes Samsuri’s role as the coalition’s face could gain support from all component parties.
On February 22, PN’s Supreme Council appointed Samsuri to replace Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin. However, Bersatu still maintains Muhyiddin as its prime minister candidate, reaffirmed during its annual general assembly last September.
