Perikatan Nasional (PN) is worried that the cordial relationship between Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional (BN) in the Unity Government will impede their attempts to seize power. According to Anthony Loke Siew Fook, the Secretary-General of DAP, PN will go to great lengths to bring down the Unity Government.
PN has clearly made sabotage statements against unity government
This is due to PN not wanting to see PH and BN cooperating and becoming strong. Loke explained that the close cooperation between the coalition parties has contributed to political stability in the country, and a stable government enjoys support from the people. He also stated that the cooperation with BN is not seen as a political advantage, but rather as evidence of the success of the Unity Government.
Loke dismissed the notion that DAP gains an advantage in winning Malay votes through this cooperation, emphasizing that it is about political stability and harmony. He further stated that in Negeri Sembilan, where he is the Chairman of DAP, the good relationship between PH and BN has been established even before the formation of the Unity Government, and it is natural for them to continue this cooperation.
