Perikatan Nasional (PN) is nearing the stage of finalising its prime ministerial candidate for the next general election, according to Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin. He said delaying the decision could have negative psychological effects on voters as elections approach.
Prime Ministerial Candidate
Speaking to reporters in Brickfields, Muhyiddin noted that past elections showed voters tend to question coalition leadership when no clear candidate is named. While Bersatu delegates previously backed Muhyiddin, other names have emerged within PN, including PAS leaders Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man and Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar, as well as Bersatu deputy president Hamzah Zainudin.
