SEBERANG PERAI, Aug 10 — Police have advised Umno Youth to cancel its planned protest in Kepala Batas over a hardware store’s upside-down Jalur Gemilang display, saying the matter is under investigation. Acting Penang police chief Datuk Mohd Alwi Zainal Abidin noted the store owner has been arrested and will be charged. Umno Youth chief Datuk Dr Akmal Saleh later postponed the protest, urging severe punishment for the accused. The incident, captured in a viral video, saw owner Feng Jin Zhen claim it was an accident while measuring a flagpole and that the flag was promptly corrected.
