Johor Police hunt suspect now in toll-plaza incident

In Johor Baru, police are searching for a man who assaulted a 31-year-old lorry driver at Kempas Toll Plaza on June 8, 2025, around 2.30pm. The incident began when the driver honked at a stationary Proton Wira after the toll barrier lifted. Enraged, a man from the car’s passenger side opened the lorry door and repeatedly punched the driver’s face and head. Johor Baru North District Police Chief ACP Balveer Singh said the case is under investigation for affray, carrying up to six months’ jail or a RM1,000 fine. The public is urged to contact 07-5563122 with information.
