Qadeem Shaher, better known as Qadeem Zieman is a young Malaysian born, Malay-Indian blooded journalist, model, singer, author and poet, who is also the son of the late award-winning journalist, Zieman (1961-2021) who was profoundly known throughout her career as an entertainment writer, judge and lyricist in the mid-80s to the early 2000s.
Qadeem who was born in Kuala Lumpur in the year 2003, had released a number of songs in the past, including a recently released Malay single, an orchestral version of ‘Pada Malam’, and published his first poetry book in Singapore in June of 2022 titled ‘Poetries Within Emotions’ under his real name, Qadeem Shaher.

He writes provocative articles on Newswav.com as well as on his own blog, ‘Qadeem Zieman’, and was often seen as a talent on RTM and TV3 as a child and a teenager, and was featured in Kuntum Magazine a numer of times.
Qadeem Zieman whose world took a turbulent turn as his mother passed away on his 18th birthday in 2021 due to hypertension and multiple organ failures. After surviving 2 strokes and Parkinson’s disease resulting from a despairing misfortune that took place in 2018 found a sense of relief in writing poetries.
The idea to write even more poems came to mind when life nearly drowned him in a fistful of pills in his sleep while living in Bayan Lepas, Pulau Pinang (Penang), as he became depressed with his new life as a poor homeless orphan while constantly being ditched and pushed aside by his family members as he sails through oceans of never-ending troubled waters.
“I’ve been through a life of unbearable phases as a young adult through these recent years. I would stare at the wall then start to cry again and again. The despairing feeling of loneliness that you get when you realise that you are now all alone, with no one to help you out of the darkness. I’ve been hurt before, quite badly by the people around me who I am now disgusted to call them my own relatives.
I had no one to talk to about my troubles, hence why I chose to write them down, so that when people read my writings or listen to my songs though not written by me, it makes me feel heard and listened to, I have arranged them the order of chapters, based on each chapter of my life, that way when reading it’s like reading a life story, in a way,” said Qadeem.
This book is a diary of a compiled anecdote that tells a story of his short yet challenging colourful life embossed with doubts and decorated with more love, pain, and suffering in a tearfully written collection of over 142 poems in English and Bahasa, along with the introduction for each part.
