The minimum wage in the country has risen to RM1,500 a month. But there appears to be some jobscopes that are maintaining the old minimum wage. It could possibly be due to the job having overtime pay. However, netizens are quite unhappy seeing this.

Recently, a supermarket owner was criticised for having workers work on salaries around the minimum wage. But, X users state that if this is true, that would make it even worse than that as this is literally below minimum wage. 

Some users state that the job is in Kelantan. The cost of food and lodging will be more affordable. But other users add that smartphone prices, and a lot of other things are similarly priced as they are in Kuala Lumpur.
