New: Rahmah Cash Aid eases burden of daily expenses

Recipients of Rahmah Cash Aid (STR) described the donations they received through the initiative as being able to ease the burden of daily expenses, to navigate the high cost of living. Bernama interviewed several people who are recipients of the STR. They are of the view that the government should continue this type of programmes to assist those in need due to the dire economic circumstances.

STR is used by recipients with some paying off monthly commitments such as utility bills in addition to buying basic goods. Some keep it for use when preparing for fasting and Raya which will arrive soon. For those who are unable to work due to health reasons, this kind of contribution is very necessary, as well as the B40 group who have limited income.
