Tan Sri Razarudin Husain will step down as Inspector-General of Police (IGP) on June 22, marking the end of his two-year contract, according to sources cited by Harian Metro. A handover ceremony and farewell parade will be held on June 20 at the Kuala Lumpur Police Training Centre (Pulapol). Razarudin, appointed IGP in June 2023, began his policing career in 1984 and held several key positions, including Director of Bukit Aman’s Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department and Perak Police Chief. Born in Dengkil, Selangor, he holds a master’s degree in Social Science (Policing Studies) from UKM. Bukit Aman has yet to issue an official statement.
