They are fighting off the nay-sayer claims of those living in certain neighbourhoods who do not need public transportation. When in reality, it appears that everyone will use them given the chance.

Even “rich people” neighbourhoods need public transportation
A user posted a photo showing those living in the Damansara area taking the bus back to their homes after work. Others add that some Malaysians simply assume that they do not use the public transportation facilities, hence most aren’t using them as well.
