Mohamad Rais Mustor set out from Ayer Hitam on his Honda CBR1000RR, a familiar ride on a familiar road. The night was clear and quiet until a car from the opposite direction turned right near Masjid Sri Lalang. The impact was immediate.

Perhaps, Rais had no chance to react. The crash threw him forward and he died at the scene from severe head injuries. The elderly driver escaped unharmed while his wife suffered chest injuries and was sent to Hospital Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom.
