Salahuddin Ayub, Deputy President of Amanah, did not rule out the possibility of seat exchanges between PH and BN before the upcoming state election. He stated that it could be done through strategic negotiations to ensure victory in six states.

Although seat allocation is typically based on the previous election results, there is room for discussion. It may be necessary to exchange seats among coalition members during the election. His statements follow reports that PH in Selangor may give up at least five “safe” seats to BN as a strategic move to maintain the unity government.
However, PH Selangor has denied that any discussion of this nature took place with BN regarding the distribution of these seats. Salahuddin said that discussions about seat allocation are ongoing and progressing well.
