Sanofi Malaysia marked the 10th anniversary of its Kuala Lumpur Hub on Oct. 13 with the inauguration of its new Exchange 106 workplace.
The hub is part of Sanofi’s global Business Operations Hub network. It began as a finance-focused shared services centre and now supports more than 20 markets across Asia Pacific and the Greater Gulf, covering Finance, People, Medical, Procurement, Manufacturing & Supply and other specialised areas.
Sanofi Malaysia’s KL Hub Opens New Wellbeing-Focused Workplace
The milestone comes as Malaysia’s Global Business Services sector shifts to higher-value, technology-enabled work. In 2024, 749 GBS companies attracted RM9.87 billion in investment, and the sector has created more than 36,000 jobs since 2021, in line with NIMP 2030. Sanofi has been present in Malaysia for over 60 years.
Trudy Tan, Head of KL & Chengdu Hubs for Asia Pacific, said Sanofi will keep investing in people, technology and expertise. The hub supports work in immunology, rare diseases and vaccine-preventable illnesses across the region, and Sanofi is building digital capabilities while keeping human judgment at the core.
The new workplace is targeting a high standard for occupant health and wellbeing, with low-VOC materials, lighting that supports circadian rhythm, healthier food and spaces for mental wellbeing.
French diplomat Olivier Sigaud officiated, as France and Malaysia near 70 years of diplomatic ties in 2027. About 300 French subsidiaries employ roughly 30,000 people in Malaysia, with bilateral trade at €4.2 billion in 2024.
