A 13-year-old Form One student was allegedly tied up and gagged by two schoolmates in a secondary school toilet in Sungai Petani last Monday, in what police believe was an act of bullying driven by jealousy. Kuala Muda police chief Asst Comm Hanyan Ramlan said the suspects, also 13, admitted to the act. The victim was found bound with a necktie and gagged with a handkerchief after her worried mother and a security guard searched the school when she failed to appear after class. She suffered minor injuries and trauma. The suspects are being remanded under Sections 323 and 324 of the Penal Code.
