Singapore Households to See Lower Electricity and Gas Bills in Q3 as Energy Costs Fall

1 min read

Households in Singapore will see lower electricity and gas bills from July to September due to falling energy and fuel costs. SP Group announced a 2.3% drop in electricity tariffs, with rates falling by 0.65 cent per kilowatt-hour (kWh). This means an average four-room HDB household could save about $2.36 monthly before GST. City Energy also announced gas tariffs will decrease by 0.44 cent per kWh to 22.28 cents per kWh. Both companies review tariffs quarterly based on Energy Market Authority guidelines, with prices influenced by global fuel markets and geopolitical tensions such as ongoing Middle East conflicts.
