SINGAPORE, Oct 6, 2026: A Singaporean woman convicted of operating a prostitution ring disguised as massage parlours in the United States has been named on the US Department of Homeland Security’s list of “worst of worst criminal aliens”.
Jing Emtage, 54, was arrested with her husband, Gerald Emtage, 49, in May 2023 following an investigation that began in 2021.
Nine massage parlours operated by the couple were shut down during the investigation, while 23 women were rescued after being trafficked and forced to provide sexual services.

Jing was sentenced to two years and two months’ imprisonment on July 25, 2025 after being convicted on seven counts of promoting prostitution in the second degree. She was also given a concurrent 12-month sentence for money laundering.
Her husband was sentenced to 38 months’ imprisonment for promoting prostitution and received a concurrent 12-month sentence for money laundering.
US prosecutors said the couple had made significant profits by exploiting dozens of women and had funnelled more than US$1 million through their bank accounts. More than US$600,000 in cash was found when they were arrested.
Jing is currently being held at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement processing centre in Washington pending deportation proceedings.
